The Biggest Pool Trend for 2024 | Catherine Arensberg
People say bigger is better, but would you believe that the hottest pool trend for 2024 is a SMALLER body? Known as a cocktail pool or splash pool, these micro water features are perfect for entertaining adults who love to sit and have a glass of wine water side. Cocktail pools are also far more budget friendly than traditionally sized pools and fit nicely into even the smallest of back yard spaces. I, for one, and excited for spending less on install and maintenance being en vogue - call your local pool contractor to get started on your own splash pool today!

Most of us don't build new homes. We move in to existing homes where previous homeowners have made it their own, and sometimes that means they spent a lot of money on something that you would never have done if you'd had the choice. But guess what? Now it's YOUR home and it's time to make it YOURS. Allow me to give you permission to remove that thing you know the last owner possibly spent a lot...

    My mother is 87 years old and we live in Mississippi, she says that another reason to paint them blue is because it keeps birds from nesting and wasp and dirt dobbers out from under your porches. Makes it look like the sky.

    I live in a subdivision whose "mature trees" is/are part of its appeal, so the bylaws state that we can not cut down any tree over a certain height without approval. We are surrounded by water oaks that have been here since the 80s. During Ida, something like 15% of the homes here got a water oak through the roof. We are due for many more.

    I have these faint brown stains on my inground saltpool plaster, despite brushing daily and vacuuming often. Not sure what the stains are. Walls don't have it but floors do. Chemicals are all well balanced. Pool is only 18 months old. Someone please help me with advice.

    It's not Diamondbrite it was the installers who did a poor job. I've never heard of using a steel brush on the finish. They were supposed to use the acid wash after installing the plaster and that's it...

    I will also use a dollop of urethane (supper tough glue when cured)because I'm mounting a broom rack. I will drill a hole in each brick clip and mount them to the rack. I'll squeeze a few drops out of my caulking gun and clip it to the wall. I suppose I can send a picture later. Thanks for the idea👍. I'm m sure I will be happy with the results. I know how spring steel works, and this is what I want. Never heard of those clips until 10 minutes ago 😌👍 thanks

    Can't add weights...I have white sheers. It would pull the rod down. Smh I'm getting white thumb tacks and putting them at the bottom of each panel adhering to the wood deck. It's the only thing that works. Nothing else works. With high winds on a steep hill, save yourself aggravation, just use white hair clips to clip up top directly on rod or a few matching zip ties and thumb tacks. I'm done trying to figure this out.

    How heavy is your chain? It seems like it would do some damage if a strong gust of wind came and the chain wasn't heavy enough, and the curtains blew around with the chain in it.

    • @cjizzleismynizzle
      @cjizzleismynizzle 2 місяці тому

      You also don't want it to be too heavy for the rod you put the curtains on. Although I want to try this I have to make sure the whole thing doesn't end up more than 15lbs.

    Instead of topping it off with water manually, if you have a drip irrigation system you can run a drip line to the pot and put the right size emitter to fill the pot with the appropriate level of water. Where I live summer reaches around 95-105 degrees and I use a 5 gallon emitter for 20 minutes 3 times a week and that’s perfect for the summer time for a container that is approximately 75 gallons and 28” at the opening as an example. You can play with emitter size and duration to dial yours in. Pro Tip- if you have a newer irrigation system most are comparable with a solar sinc sensor which adjusts the duration on all water stations based on temperature and if it rained recently. While this is mainly to conserve water and prevent overwatering sensitive plants it also adjusts the amount of water filling my containers. I have 1 large fountain out front and a few in the backyard with bog plants and fish

  • @ariel_monzon

    This 100% is user error. The metals came from either the water truck or your piping if you filled it with your own water. Brushing the pool is recommended twice a day for the first two weeks. Those stains were either hydration (lack of brushing and high PH) or metals (lack of water maintenance) Your installer should have given you instructions. And they should have polished the pool with a diamond pad. You brushing it with a metal brush is a huge mistake.

    Hi, Ive just washed the ceiling of my outdoor porch ceiling with bleach to kill the mildew. I painted the ceiling last year with a collar I mixed up myself and have very little left (not enough to repaint the entire ceiling). What are your thoughts on applying the M-1 diluted with water? I thought is to use the entire container with 3/4 gallon of water and using a sponge roller. Thoughts?
